Columni

Know together- Empowering Student Learning and Solidarity

By Alexander and Alberto from the YDA incubator

Project Description

Columni, conceived by two members of the YDA incubator, was born out of the desire to support fellow students in their educational journey. Recognizing the challenges faced by today’s youth, who often feel the pressure to excel in various aspects of their lives, the project aimed to provide a platform for students to accesss educational resources and guidance. With a focus on promoting self-improvement and reducing the stress associated with learning, “Columni” became a beacon of support for students seeking motivation and resources.

The primary objective of “Columni” was to address the shortcomings of online study groups and foster solidarity among students within the existing school structures. By offering valuable resources, knowledge sharing, and a sense of community, the project aimed to promote improved youth employability on both local and European levels.

“Columni” began by conducting surveys to gain insights into the needs of young students. The project team established schedules for one-on-one and group sessions, both in-person and online, creating a dynamic learning environment. They also recorded these sessions and produced interactive videos, making them accessible to a wider audience through platforms like Discord and Facebook.

“Columni” successfully built a community of students who shared common values and provided mutual support. Their approach contributed to youth employability by empowering self-improvement and learning through teaching.

To reach a broader audience, “Columni” published educational videos on YouTube and shared shorts to showcase their work. They also presented their project at the I.D.E.A. conference and shared project progress vlogs on the I.D.E.A. YouTube channel and webpage. Social media and school posters were employed to spread the word about the project’s mission.
