Ihletett-Nők
Celebrating Inspirational Women
By 11 youngsters from the THIE incubator
Project Description
“Ihletett-Nők,” translating to “Inspired Women,” was a project meticulously crafted to illuminate the multifaceted challenges that women face in their contemporary lives and throughout the annals of history. The name, “Ihletett-Nők,” was emblematic of the project’s profound focus on celebrating the “Inspired Women” who, despite enduring discrimination and adversity, have left an indelible mark on our world. Through a collective brainstorming session, the project took shape, driven by a shared desire to bring these compelling issues to life through the art of theatre which ultimately became a video to be shared.
At its core, the project aimed to embark on a deep exploration of the societal issues that have, and continue to, influence the lives of women. It traversed the historical landscapes, studying the roles of women across different time periods and contrasting them with the contemporary challenges faced by women today. Armed with research and a rich vein of creativity, the project’s ultimate aim was to foster a space for understanding and dialogue surrounding the paramount issue of gender equality, as well as showcase how strong women are giving girls some role models.
- Research Journey: The project began with an immersive research voyage into the experiences of women throughout history. This encompassed a comprehensive exploration of women’s roles, from ancient civilizations to the unyielding suffragettes and the constricting stereotypes of the 1950s.
- The Play Unveiled: At the heart of the project was the creation of a powerful play. The play’s core concept revolved around recreating a quintessential 1950s tea party. The script cast each participant as a character from a different time period, such as a Greek muse, a suffragette, or a university student. They engaged in a meticulously crafted dialogue, sharing their values, perspectives, and social experiences.
- Bringing the Play to Life: The project further ventured into the world of film. With the assistance of a professional actor and an intensive weekend workshop, the play was captured on video. Subsequently, it was expertly edited and transformed into a captivating video, ready for distribution.
The tangible outcome of this endeavour was a video recording of the play. This compelling performance found its home on the I.D.E.A. YouTube channel and here on the project’s website. The video was envisioned not merely as an artistic creation but as a powerful catalyst, destined to ignite conversations on the paramount issue of gender equality in the future.
“Ihletett-Nők” transcended the confines of its immediate sphere through the video recording of the play. This recording found a global audience, shared both on the I.D.E.A. YouTube channel and the project’s dedicated website. Furthermore, the project’s active participation in significant events such as the Diversity Festival and the I.D.E.A. Conference added another layer to their outreach efforts, facilitating knowledge sharing and amplifying the resonance of their message. This project truly brought “Inspired Women” to life, celebrating their legacy and inspiring change.
Enjoy more beautiful moments!
